Maple Apple Crepe Filling

This is one of our favourite crepe filling recipes. Granny Smith apples are used, because they keep their shape during the cooking process.

Canadian maple syrup and apples always pair so nicely together. Where would we be without our maple trees, eh?

Maple Apple Crepe Filling

Maple Apple Crepe Filling

Serves 4

1 teaspoon canola oil
1 teaspoon butter
8 medium Granny Smith apples
1/2 cup PC 100% Pure Maple Syrup (Medium)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Black Label Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla

1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and oil. Saute apples in batches for 5 minutes and set aside.
2. Add all the apples back in the pan with maple syrup and cinnamon. Cook apples until tender, about 10 minutes more. Stir in vanilla extract.
3. Fill crepes and enjoy with extra maple syrup of top.
